Education Qualification
Candidates will have a PhD degree, or equivalent, in Biophysics, Plant Biology, Biotechnology, Physics, or a related field. Very good written and oral English language skills are essential. Expertise in biophysics, spectroscopy techniques (Brillouin and/or Raman), synthetic biology, or optogenetics is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Job Description
Postdoc Scholarship in Biophysics/Synthetic Biology with a Focus on Plant Cell Wall Dynamics
The postdoctoral scholar will be involved in the project “Novel Methodologies for Studying Plant Cell Wall Mechanics and Composition.” Responsibilities include:

- Investigating plant cell wall integrity monitoring system using advanced spectroscopy/microscopy techniques.
- Contributing to the development of innovative methodologies in studying cell wall dynamics.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and fostering an inclusive research environment.
- Pursuing independent research projects with support from the PI.
- Mentoring and sharing knowledge with team members.
The employment
This employment is a temporary contract of two years with the possibility of extension up to a total maximum of three years. The employment is full-time.

Scholarship
The Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation (KAW) funds this two-year postdoctoral scholarship. The scholarship amounts to 336000 SEK per year. The scholarship is not subject to tax. The PI covers running costs for the project.
