Central University of Punjab Recruitment Education Qualification 2023
The “UGC regulations on minimum qualifications for appointment of teachers and other academic staff in universities and colleges and measures for the maintenance of standards in higher education, 2018 and its amendments from time to time” will determine the qualifications and experience required for teaching positions.
- For faculty positions of the Department for Education and Department of Physical Education, the minimum eligibility conditions will be as per NCTE Regulations 2014 and its amendments from time to time for M.Ed. and M.P.Ed. respectively.
- For the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Natural Products and Deptt. of Pharmacology, qualifications will be as per Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) Circular No.14 – 163/2021-PCI/12730 dated 08.08.2022, i.e. UGC (Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education), 2010 and various amendments thereto from time-to-time.
- For the Department of Computer Science & Technology, qualification as per AICTE guidelines is required.
- For the Department of Financial Administration, it is clarified that a Master’s degree, NET/ Ph.D. (as applicable) must be qualified in the subject of Commerce.
- For the Department of Applied Agriculture, the following qualifications are required:
a) For Food Science and Technology specialization: a Master’s degree and Ph.D. degree in Food Technology/ Food Science & Technology/ Food Processing Technology/ Food Processing Engineering is required for Associate Professor;
b) For Agribusiness specialization: a Master’s degree or Ph.D. degree in Agribusiness is required for the post of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor.
Central University of Punjab Age Limit 2023
For the purpose of regular appointment to the Central University of Punjab Vacancy 2023, no candidate over the age of 64 will be considered.
Central University of Punjab Recruitment Selection Process 2023
- The direct recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor in the University shall be on the basis of merit through all India advertisements and selections by the duly constituted Selection Committees.
- Each department may require a particular specialization, therefore, the University reserves the right to shortlist/ select candidates as per the requirement of the specialization/ research area.
- The process of selection may be by a presentation/ seminar/ interview or a combination thereof.
- The University reserves the right to place the curriculum vitae of any person for any post for the consideration of the Selection Committee; to consider “in-absentia” or interview through “Video Conferencing”.
Central University of Punjab Recruitment Application Fees 2023
- All candidates are required to deposit the Application fee on the online portal @ Rs. 750/- for each post, they apply for.
- However, the SC/ ST/ PWD/ Women candidates are exempted from the application fee.
- A separate application (along with the application fee) should be filled out online for each post applied for the Central University of Punjab Bharti 2023.
- The fee once paid will not be refunded in any circumstances.
Central University of Punjab Faculty Salary Details
- For Professor posts – Entry pay of Rs. 144200/- in the Academic Pay level 14 as per 7th CPC
- For Associate Professor posts – Entry pay of Rs. 131400/- in the Academic Pay level 13A as per 7th CPC, and
- For Assistant Professor posts – Entry pay of Rs. 57700/- in the Academic Pay level 10 as per 7th CPC
