Job Description
The Research Associate will be responsible for reconstituting phosphoinositide conversion cascades using supported lipid bilayer systems. This includes recombinantly producing lipid kinases and phosphatases from bacteria and/or insect cells and determining the molecular mechanisms that control their activities. The role also involves developing and refining recombinant biosensors to detect lipids and small GTPases in cells. The position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of protein reconstitution and cell biology with high potential for collaborations.
