Education Qualification
Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch, with a very good academic record throughout. Candidate should have good CPI/CGPA/Percentage in Ph.D. course work where ever applicable.
| Assistant Professor | For a fresh Ph.D., the position will be on contract basis for the first three years, and may be regularized afterwards. For those with three or more years of teaching / research / industrial experience (excluding however, the period of pursuing Ph. D) regular appointment can be made. Candidate should have demonstrated research capabilities in terms of publications in reputed journals and conferences. |
| Associate Professor | A minimum of 6 years of teaching/research/industrial experience of which a minimum of 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor (at Pay level 12) in IITs / IISc Bangalore /IIMs /IISERs or in the institutes of national importance or Indian/Foreign Institutes of equivalent standards/Senior Scientist in the reputed National/International research organizations/ Industries. The candidate should have demonstrated adequate experience of independent research in terms of guidance of Ph.D. students, publications in reputed journals and conferences, patents, laboratory/course development, and/or other recognized relevant professional activities. |
| Professor | A minimum of 10 years of teaching/research/industrial experience of which a minimum of 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor in IITs / IISc. Bangalore / IIMs / IISERs or in the institutes of national importance or Indian / Foreign Institutes of equivalent standards / Senior Scientist in reputed National / International Research Organizations / Industries. The candidate should have demonstrated leadership in research in a specific area of specialization in terms of guidance of Ph.D. students, a strong record of publications in reputed journals and conferences, patents, laboratory/course development, and/or other recognized relevant professional activities. |
